San Diego-based beatmaker Zuma. might be a fresh name to some, but with what refined, spaced-out electronic he has on his latest track, "ruby", it shouldn't be long before he etches his own trademark sound (and placement in your mind). Working alongside vocalist Lenis Kim and upcoming rapper YNGDRN, the three carve out stellar, vibe-heavy electronic sound here. Kim's mellow falsettos combine well with YNGDRGN's fiery bars, and both work flawlessly with Zuma.'s galactic sonic approach. We're not exactly sure what more the producer here has up his sleeve, but we're hoping for more similar-sounding efforts as this one, and we don't think it'd hurt, either, if the three here collaborated once again.
