ODESZA prefaced this remix in a tweet a week ago stating, "This next remix is gonna be different", and now today, we see their words come to life, as the duo has taken their expansive sound to ZHU's already-iconic track, "Faded". Like their words entailed, this remix is not just another carbon-copy of huge, skyscraping synths they've already experienced before, rather; this new interpretation is a sleek, slightly twisted blend of distorted guitars and earth-shaking percussion. Naturally, we do see their hulking sound come to fruition midway through the track, but it's not the focal point, so there is no sense at all of repetitiveness, just a renewed sense of faith in how good ODESZA is at their brand of music production.
