For most bands nowadays a 4 year hiatus is a very long time, but for the UK duo Zero 7 giving your fans that long of a wait is not a big deal because when you can come back and drop a track like, "On My Own", it makes that hiatus seem completely bearable. For the sake of argument here, their Ultraista remix doesn't count as a middle ground to break that hiatus. The other pleasant surprise here, is the somewhat new direction Zero 7 have taken. Gone is the downtempo-leaning sound and in has come the more up-beat house/pop sound. As fans of their previous material, this new direction sounds awesome. Of course this is only one example right now, but for now it's all we got to lean on. Stream it below and look for the 12" single to be released on August 26th.
