In a genre where vocals make up 99% of the appealing factor, LA's Zella Day takes command of your attention when it comes to her voice. Like a knife slicing through a million-dollar painting, Zella's soaring and majestic vocals cause shock and awe as their pierce through the mix. As displayed on her new b-side single, "1965", (the a-side being "Sweet Ophelia"), Zella Day absolutely shines. (You could have had her singing over someone smashing some pots together and it would still sound great.) It's best to be on the lookout for Zella as she will no doubt be building off this release with some more material very soon.
