Pop is getting a makeover. Since late last year into this one, the genre has seen some dramatic changes by way of singer-songwriters who are bringing some real authenticity to the surface. They are unapologetic, and they’ve taken inspiration from almost all popular genres conceivable. Artists like Lorde, Tove Lo, and Lana Del Rey have really brought a new kind of female presence to the genre, and now, Zara Kershaw is doing her best to, too. There isn’t much out there about the woman who’s voice gets into you body like a first gulp of water on a hot day, but what we do know about her is that she's creating some beautiful music, and that this new track of hers reveals a side that we'd care to see much more of in the times ahead.
