One of the issues with artists these days is trying not to get stuck in the trap of making the same-sounding stuff. It happens far too often, and it ends up stunting more careers than is usually accounted for. Some up-and-comers such as Zak Abel have been able to show wisdom through the diversity of tunes he's put forth, and as "Running From Myself", his new, Karma Kid-produced single shows, the peppy, funk-fused track sounds distinguishable from its preceding tracks. As far as hyping his forthcoming EP goes, too, it's safe to say that this track has done just that.
