To kick things off at Hillydilly today, we've an excellent debut song from a completely new act to show you. The boy-girl duo, Yuma X, has elected to reveal very little information about themselves, but all we really care about is the fact that they've created an incredibly crisp, refreshing sound on their first release ever, "Swimming Pool". The song is a softer work of electronically produced pop which, appropriately, conveys the feeling of gently floating in a swimming pool. They don't need any massive drops or shimmering synths to impress here; rather, they present a fairly simple but utterly divine array of serene synth chords, relaxed percussion, and their own gorgeous vocals along with them. With their version of Ghoul's "Swimming Pool" here, Yuma X has, like so many other new acts, sparked our interest in what more they might have to offer, but for now, just make sure you enjoy their debut track below. It's a good one.
