YUM YUCK is the solo project of Pascal Righini, an individual you might not know about, but actually the lead singer of heralded South African band The Plastics, which certainly lends credence to his work here. Individually, he's only a few hundred followers on his SoundCloud account, but the play counts on his tracks indicate an appeal that's widespread, and on his latest track, "All Night" we can certainly hear why. About as lazy, hazy, and awesomely psychedelic as they get, "All Night" proves to be quite the introduction to this fellow's solo sound, and with his nice voice and support from his other group behind him, it looks like he has a legitimate chance of breaking out on his own. Time will tell if that ever actually works out, of course, but he shows here that he's the chops to move wonderfully ahead.
