The Nate Ruess feature on Punk was a left-field swing that mostly landed. Thug and the fun. frontman orbit each other over a lush, Bhasker-produced backdrop that reads closer to pop than trap. Gunna holds down his corner without overpowering the track's emotional register. An interesting experiment in genre hospitality.
