Young Summer — Classless Kids

Young Summer

Classless Kids

We've already heard five songs from Young Summer's forthcoming debut, Siren, and so far, every single one of them has showed us a distinctly different vibe while still encapsulates her signature sound that we've grown to love. So as far as keeping us engaged, Young Summer has done this with ease, and now adding to what might be 2014's surprise indie releases of the year is the latest track to emerge from the LP, "Classless Kids". "Classless Kids" is warm in its overall feel, but it's the rumbling, slow-building percussion, fairy tale-esque strings, and Summer's own elated voice that give rise to breathtaking atmosphere that's created on the track. It's really a marvelous work all the way around, and the good news for those of you now aglow with anticipation for Siren is that you won't have to wait long to hear the rest of the album. No, it won't be out for purchase until August 26th, but USA Today will be hosting the full stream of it tomorrow, so you'll be able to get your fix in that way. Also, if you wish to hear insight on the rest of the tracks situated alongside the six we've now covered, look for our review of the album coming tomorrow as well.
