YNGCULT has already built up some sizable buzz with singles like "Sides of War" and "Let's Get it Back", but their recently released EP has taken this momentum and capitalized on it by filling out the track list with what might be their best work to date. The highlight of the EP is "Absølute", and man, will it blow you away. Like ASTR, Sylvan Esso, and so many other great female-led acts, YNGCULT has nailed down a winning formula, and the crisp vocals of the frontwoman, paired with smooth production work from those behind, will be earning them new fans all over. It's always nice when a band can consistently produce quality music, and if YUNGCULT keeps putting out tracks like this, then they're gonna have used to playing in front of bigger crowds. The featured track itself kicks things off in much the same way the rest of the EP does. It's got a relaxed pace, but the synths are dark and heavy, and the textures in the backdrop add a darker vibe to the whole mix. There is echo aplenty, and some of the more muted sounds give the track a very big feel to it despite the rather stripped-down composition. YNGCULT has put up the entire EP on SoundCloud, but it's also available for purchase on Bandcamp, and if we were you, we'd buy it, because this is one of those releases that you're going to want to have access to all of the time.
