Years & Years' most recent single, "Take Shelter", is the kind of song that we've had on replay all summer, but all great tracks can always use some fresh interpretations, right? Right. We're already fortunate enough to have been graced by a remix from Onra that totally dismantled the original's foundation, and now, we're just being spoiled with another vibe-filled rework from the London-based producer, Joe Hertz. Some electronic tracks hit a sweet spot with their sound—not being too upbeat nor too slow (listen to Sunny Spell and Darius' remix of All I See)—and the great thing about songs of this ilk is that they're appropriate for almost any occasion, whether it be hanging low-key, or really kicking it. Joe Hertz's remix of "Take Shelter" hits this especially enjoyable sound with its swelling synths and fresh percussion, and, on top of them, the vocal chopping is spot-on, as the song's overall feel is as refreshing as an ice-cold glass of lemonade.
