At long last, Years & Years are now occupying their well-deserved spot in the electronic-pop limelight. They've done a superb job of establishing themselves as one of the biggest new acts in the genre, and with a spotless record behind them, the trio from the UK will be releasing their highly anticipated debut album, Communion, in just a little over a month. For the mean time, though, they've decided to build some immediate and additional buzz for the upcoming work with excellent new single "Shine". We've heard Years & Years' sound range from soft and sentimental on songs like "Memo", to upbeat and dance-worthy on songs like "King", and their newest track here seems to lie a bit closer to the latter style, although there are some mellower sections to the piece as well. With shimmering synth chords, a pumping beat, and Olly's glowing vocals, the act has produced another seamless, twinkling work which should get everyone even more excited than they already are for the album that is approaching. Communion will hit shelves on June 22, but for now, you can pre-order it on iTunes. Additionally, "Shine" itself is available for pre-order on iTunes as well.
