Life has its ups and its downs, and sometimes we need music to accompany the seriously low moments in addition to those mile-high ones. We can either reach for that upbeat pop music and hope its going to pull us out of our funk, or we can reach for tracks like "Universe Under The Skin" from Italy's Years Without Days to accomodate our melancholic states. Efforts like it allow for clarity at the times those aforementioned emotional valleys are traversed, and the music takes on a life of its own that lends itself to our attaching to it. Of course, if you'd rather just prefer the music to be good no matter the state you're in, the track will still suffice. "Universe Under The Skin" serves as a poignant tune regardless of the attitude carried into a listen of it, and it doubles as our interesting first take on what Years Without Days has to offer.
