The legacy of J Dilla will always live on, especially when there is a 'stunning cache' of beats left behind by the late producer. In an effort to put the archive of beats to use, J Dilla's brother Illa J has formed Yancey Boys with Frank Nitt to craft up a new album using some never heard before beats from J Dilla and teaming them up with the likes of Common, Posdnuos of De La Soul, SlimKid3 of the Pharcyde, t3 of Slum Village + many more. "Quicksand" is our first taste from the project that features Common, Illa J and Frank Nitt trading verse between a sultry guitar sample and pleasant vocals from Dezi Page.
