If time is all it takes for us to receive impassioned efforts from artists, we'll wait patiently. There's no rush when it comes to creativity, and absolutely no reason to expect art to come nicely packaged and in predictable fashion; there is no "on time" when it comes to this sort of thing, and the fact of the matter is that there is no time better to share (and receive) an inspired creation than whenever said creation cannot be concealed any longer. For the producer, Y U M E, this particular time came today, months after an unexpected hiatus from the craft he had taken up so intimately. And though "Video Games" does not at all indicate the forward motion of the artist (according to a comment he left attached to the track), it remains as an ambient banger equipped for the introspective evenings and muddled midnight hours we have, but wish not to.
