XYLØ — L.A. Love Song

XYLØ

L.A. Love Song

Los Angeles-based act XYLØ seems to be the it band right now, and although we know that that particular designation gets overused these days, it is hard to deny it when it comes to the brother-sister duo. The release of their debut, “America”, earlier this year stoked the flames of fandom as the single amassed plays in the millions, and the subsequent releases of “Between The Devil and The Deep Blue Sea” and “Afterlife” only added fuel to that fire. Today, the act is back once again with brand-new track “L.A. Love Song”, which was premiered today by Zane Lowe on Beats 1. As the title suggests, this is a love song to their home city, yet this is no outpouring of adoration. True love is about accepting the bad and the good, and, as Paige Duddy beautifully muses “I wanna know if this life will be the death of me”, over striking electro-pop production, we become reminded once again that this band is going nowhere but positively up.
