After having exploded onto the scene with hits "America" and "Afterlife", siblings Paige and Chase Duddy (XYLØ) have just released "Bang Bang", a defiant, Sleigh Bells-inspired anthem that finds the band exploring an entirely new sonic tune. Clocking in at just over two minutes, "Bang Bang" feels almost like a punk track, as Paige sings distorted, ultra-catchy hooks over Chase's growling bass. There are brief pauses between sections that clearly delineate where we are in the track, and while it can be a gamble to experiment this heavily with multiple styles early on in a career, we think "Bang Bang" pays off in a big way for the two, while highlighting successfully a new side of their sound.
