Look, you don't have to love the player to like the game. We get that there have been allegations swirling about X, but, frankly, that does not mean that the art he makes is bad or undeserving of recognition. What he's here with 17 is a work of art, and, as disseminators of great music, we'd be doing a disservice not putting it out. So, call this tone-deaf if you must, but do not call it bad taste. Now, among the eleven terse tracks on this album, we've most taken to "Jocelyn Flores", "Everybody Dies in Their Nightmare", and "Revenge" the most, but that does not mean you should not check out the whole thing. It's only 22 mintues long (X is, low-key, a genius for that), and it's full of the kind of heartache, depression, and hopefulness that anyone can mess with—no matter where in life they are.
