About three weeks ago, Xul Zolar, a German-based three-piece, dropped off a fantastic work of indie-electronic with "Ilajaly". The upbeat track is full of tropical percussion, shadowy synths, and grooving bass, so we had a feeling that the video would mimic these themes, and we were definitely right. The group is stationed in a smokey jungle setting in the artistic accompaniment, but there's some trippy mirror-play going on as well. With some beachy visuals thrown in the mix, too, the video certainly does the band's darker tropical sound justice. Xul Zolar is set to release their debut EP early in 2015, but until then, you can soak up the brilliance of their single, "Ilajaly", along with the excellent accompanying visuals.
