Sundays are intended for downtempo music. As we wind down from the weekend's activites and prepare for the looming labor of the workweek, it's good for us to have some subtle sonic energy transmitted to us, and with XINAMON's "Apropos", we've just that. XINAMON is himself a relative unknown, having only three tracks to his name, but his sound is undeniably cohesive, and you get the sense that he's ultra-confident with the details of his craft. "Apropos" certainly shows an attractive side of XINAMON's work, having an airy atmosphere supplemented flawlessly with subdued synths, and those extraordinarily-familiar-but-usually-effective-utilization of screwed vocal sampling appear again here to add infectious flair to the effort.
