Xavier Dunn — Fall Down

Xavier Dunn

Fall Down

Xavier Dunn seems to have a long-standing history with music, having grown up in a household headed by two music teachers, and his own eventual studies and experience with myriad instruments ranging from the piano and bass, to the guitar and mandolin, have endowed him with a background envied by most musical minds. It's perhaps no surprise then that Mr. Dunn has himself been able to construct a sweet sound to call his own, and though it's one that's been progressive over the years with his different musical undertakings, his latest two tunes, "People Are" and "Fall Down", have an overwhelmingly acoustic-folk vibe to them that really lends itself to what campfire singing his Twitter bio makes note of. Really, all the songs are comprised of are soft strums and singing (not a bad combination at all), but there's always a mental market for the kind of hushed atmosphere employed on either effort, so we're not complaining. You'll want to pull the tracks out for specific situations, to be sure—perhaps for studying sessions or the late-night outdoor activities mentioned above—but in the event that you just want some quiet, guitar-driven melodies to fall in love with, look no further than Xavier's two tunes here.
