When we saw that indie-folk artist Xavier Dunn had covered Rae Sremmurd's hit track, "No Type", we simply couldn't wait to hear Xavier's soft, sophisticated croon utter the catchy lines of the original. Of course, the contrasting styles between the artist and act are somewhat humorous-sounding at first, but once you can get past the incidental comedic aspect of the change, you'll realize that Xavier has actually done a fantastic job with his interpretation. His rendition is comprised instrumentally of mellow acoustic guitar plucks, airy soundscapes, and some downtempo percussion, and Xavier's vocals are simply divine atop it all. We're kind of hoping that Xavier's next release will be a cover of Drake's "Know Yourself", but, either way, this new piece of his here is one that's keeping us intrigued.
