After listening to the musical offerings of Xan Young, it becomes quite evident that he is an artist with a very strong understanding of effective pop. This statement is substantiated further as he releases his second single of the year with “The Future”, and we're sure it'll continue as he releases more material ahead. While "The Future" has a softer edge than what we’ve previously heard from Xan, you’d be mistaken if you thought there was less going on. The composition, though of a more mellow persuasion, is still comprised of an abundant array of congruent tones, and the perfect pop framework to house Xan's pleasing vocal notes is there. It leaves for an impressive listen overall, and we've certainly gotten used to the type from the budding artist and producer up to this point.
