The latest in electro-pop comes from a Floridian duo, X priest X, and, had we not known that they're from the state, we would've guessed (based on their sound) that they're from somewhere in Europe (it just so happens that they'e actually signed with Emotion, a Swedish record label). Perhaps they've been influenced by the sound of other signees on the label, but, regardless if that's true, their latest release, "Isn't It So", is undoubtedly a stunning track. David Kazyk, the producing half of the duo, begins the song in exemplary electro-pop fashion; a fast-paced electronic rhythm is complemented by dreamy synths and a crisp drum beat, and Madeline Priest, the other part of the pair, croons atop with absolute grace. Her smooth, sweet vocals glide over the addictive bassline, and the chorus, nothing short of excellent, either, offers euphoric synths for the passionate vocals. There's no doubt that X priest X has gotten our attention with this track of theirs, and we'll definitely be looking out for their new album, Samurai, releasing April 15th.
