Take a pad of paper and pen or fire up your favourite word processor and take note - Philly group Worshyper are about to take the indie scene by storm. And when I say "storm" I don't mean a lazy sun shower, no - these guys are poised to drop their sound like a typhoon, and the fact you haven't heard about them yet is only the calm before the storm. "Twenties" is the new track from the trio's debut album Keeps, full of crunching electronic synths, a great background vocal base and more than a few CC's of R&B sexy and soul. The track bends a few genres, mixes and mashes together what works and leaves what doesn't on the side of the road without a glance at the rear view. The vocals are smooth, ridiculously smooth, and the song is never boring, always changing scenes and tempos just when the listener might start to get complacent. If you've been looking for something a little different but criminally underheard to add to your playlist, you've found it.
