We've been keeping a close eye and ear on Worshyper since hearing their debut album, KEEPS, last December. The Philadelphia trio walks along an interesting lane of genres, traversing indie, R&B, and electronic, all of which we've seen in some of our favourite new artists like Minorstep, Oceaán, and even SZA. "Got Your Back" is the first single from them three, and it will appear on their upcoming EP, Crucial Boy. Matthew's soulful R&B bounces beautifully off of Maria's soft responses on the track, making us feel as if we stumbled across an exchange of love letters or series of drunk text messages. It's a tingling realization all wrapped up in a sensuous sound, and it's only a matter of time until a huge artist or band takes these three on for a huge project. For now, though, let's just hit play and enjoy our little sonic secret here.
