When we first heard Wonder Wonder's 100,000-play-accruing "Body Gold", we knew we were getting into something special. The sheer authenticity of the track was enough to turn heads and perk ears, and its antique-sounding indie-pop, especially, was warming to the point that you couldn't turn away from it. We found out, too, that the London duo had an interesting strategy for their releases—to send out a new track at the turn of every month—and since "Body Gold" was the first to come out some thirty days ago, it's come time to hear their latest, "Shark". Somewhat similar in nature to their debut, "Shark" carries with it a vintage tone that really just draws you in from the start and never seems intent on letting you go. The harmonized vocals of the two and simple instruments behind them gather into quite the intimate atmosphere pretty quickly on the effort, and you'll find it unbearably hard not to fall in love with the soft approach as conspicuously employed. What's one to do with as inviting a sound as that on the track, though, honestly? We'll be the first to let it overtake us, and until next month's artistic shipment comes through, bet that we'll be playing "Shark" to alleviate the wait.
