We've posted a few Woman's Hour tracks over the past couple of months, and if there's one thing they've all had in common it's that they're standouts - always interesting, always worth two or three or ten listens. That trend continues with new track (a B-side, actually) "Thunder," which despite its name is actually a slow, introspective lullaby, an ode to the past. Woman's Hour songs are always sentimental, touching on those memories and experiences most of us try hard not to have to think about, but covered in a way that makes them less painful and more beautiful. Vocalist Fion Jane is at her best on this track, lamenting with heartbreaking tenderness "I'm sorry I let you down for the second time," as if sadness itself isn't something to run from but rather to embrace, when the time comes. This is a beautiful song. Listen below.
