Just when we felt like our pages were being a bit saturated with pop music, London-based four-piece Wolf Alice has returned to provide us with a much-needed dose of rock. They've dropped off a handful of singles and EPs over the past few years, but now it looks like they're getting ready to finally release their long-awaited debut album in the near future. First, however, they've decided to give us a taste of their new work with the project's enticing lead single, "Giant Peach". If you've been following Wolf Alice over their career, then you probably know that their sound can fluctuate between an indie-folk and a heavier rock vibe. On "Giant Peach", the band certainly embraces the latter, and in case you need to prepare yourself, the song's minute-and-a-half-long intro will give your ears plenty of time to adjust. Vocalist Ellie Roswell preforms exceptionally throughout the entire work, and near the conclusion of the piece, she matches the instrumentation in an invigorating build that bursts into a massive sonic climax. As put by Roswell, the song is one to dance to, but also one to "lose your shit to", so make sure to take advantage of your opportunity to do either activity with the fabulous track on hand.
