When Wildhood released his debut track, “Psycho Jam”, many responded to its playful blues-rock riffs whilst remaining completely oblivious to the dark lyrical content within. We celebrated the track here on the site, and yet, we felt there was something more nefarious that lurked below the surface if one scratched deeply enough. Today, the artist has shed his cloak to show just how dark he can get with the release of “Double Dark”, his latest track. The opening lyrics of the latest piece are spread theatrically thin across its ominous key arrangements, a ruse that maintains a solid two minutes before the curtains draw to reveal the sinister fuzz that truly propels it forth. It is truly dark and tense throughout, and we certainly cannot get enough of how different that is.
