Canadian act WILDE is an extremely promising on in a very crowded genre. Ever since "Hanging Tree (Are You?)", their impressive debut effort, they've been releasing quality material, and now, they've released their debut EP, entitled Flashlight. We've covered some of the tracks from the EP already on the site, but after hearing some of the new tracks, we think that they, too, need to go up. Two of our favorite tracks from the new batch are "Infinite" and "100 Days", which showcase the band's edgy, elegant electronic sound. "100 Days" has dark, heavy-hitting production reminiscent somewhat of FKA twigs, and "Infinite" has an irresistible, melancholic tune that will have you instantly hooked. As a whole, the the body of work WILDE's cast here should help establish them as a band that deserves attention outside the music blogosphere, and, with a release as strong as it is, we're thinking that 2016 should be a very big year for them.
