Now nestled into his new San Francisco digs, the phenomenally talented Big Wild has been able to soak in new life, new looks, and, perhaps most importantly, new inspiration, all of which he's here channeled into his unbelievably infectious remix of Wild Party's "When I Get Older". The five-piece's original is something intoxicating in its own right, but we can always count on Big Wild to come correct with his big-sounding sonic additions, and he's them here in abundance, beginning with a drawn-out, cow bell-included build that sees all sorts of blissful processings. This is just the start, of course, and after the minute-long electronic ascension, Big Wild bestows upon us a cool, cascading drop that shoots out all sorts of sonic endorphins. Several synths aid in this endeavor, and the track really takes on an organic, evolving vibe that makes you smile out of sheer emotional necessity as this all occurs. Wild Party's vocals aren't left by the wayside, though Big Wild's electrical elements will have your attention locked away; rather, they remain intact and integral to the entire effort (as they ought to be). This interpretation of "When I Get Older" is as much theirs as the producer's, a fact the latter weaves unflinchingly into the work, and the resulting sound, richly adorned as it may here be, highlights the aptitudes of either act in incredible fashion.
