Los Angeles band White Arrows started making a name for themselves back in 2012 with their particular brand of electronic-tinged psych-pop. With strong singles such as “Get Gone” and “Roll Together”, they toured their debut album Dry Land Is Not A Myth extensively, including numerous stops at festivals such as Coachella and Sasquatch. When it came time to record their follow-up, too, the band found that their mindset was in a new state of being, an influence that was depicted in their new album title “In Bardo”—the transitional state between death and rebirth. What came from the reincarnation of White Arrows was a heavier, more biting sound that showed their maturity and growth as musicians, and this was demonstrated on tracks such as “Leave It Alone” which we featured back in May. As the band now basks in the euphoric glow of releasing a successful sophomore album, though, we're being treated to a remix from Philadelphia trio Vacationer, and brining along their gossamer-like aesthetic, they imbue the song with an uptempo electronic vibe. It's a Rapture-esque interpretation, complete with funky guitar riffs and cowbells that transform the original tune into a peppy, electronic indie-pop gem.
