Kelly Zutrau has always written in a register that sounds both personal and detached, and "Clementine" is Wet at their most refined. The production is cool and minimal, her vocal performance doing the emotional work without overselling it. This came after a few years of quiet, and it reminded us immediately why we'd been waiting.
