Swedish producer WDL is a guy we first unearthed a couple years back, and ever since, he's been putting forth some sounds that have been all over the map. Though his releases have been periodical since Legotrap, his debut EP, they appear to have been picking up in pace in recent times, as he's here his second in the past month with "Cashmere." There's no question that his last track, "Tin Can Motorbike," was an eclectic one, and while we're always attuned to more polished tracks, the soul-meets-hip-hop-meets-electronic sounds within made us fall in love with the rougher-edged style more. It's funny we say that, though, because today's track peers into a completely fresh sphere, albeit, one we still love. Its deep-seated synths and vocal chops mould it into more of a traditional electro-pop structure, and that just goes to show again the dynamism WDL has. "Cashmere" is the last single from his debut album, which you can look for June 3.
