"Calliope" by Oakland's Waterstrider is a percussion-heavy, mid-tempo number that, on one hand, reminds us of Florence and the Machine, and, on the other, sounds like nothing we've heard before. While its beat is steady, there's an effortlessly floating vibe that makes the song as perfect for winding down as it is for getting fired up, and, like previous effort "White Light", it's one we're taking favorably to.
