Meet Waters, an exciting new rock band that's essentially Van Pierszlowski's clean slate. Pierszalowski, previously the front man of the troubled band, Port O'Brien, managed to find himself in Norway (literally and figuratively), where he assembled a group of Norwegians and embraced a new sound. After an emotionally taxing experience with Port O'Brien, Pierszlowski is ready to digress from his old life and start anew, a fact that inspired the name for Waters' upcoming album, Out in the Light. Understanding the story behind a song seems to make it much more enjoyable, and this is definitely the case with Waters' debut single, "Got To My Head". Pierszlowski's vocal fervor goes all but unnoticed; his tone along with his lyrics give the impression that he's releasing some emotion that has been building for a long time. Passion fills even the instrumentation, from the heavy drums to the addictive bassline. Some parts of the track sound as if they came from the Tony Hawk Pro Skater soundtrack, while some parts possess a fresher, alternative feel.
