For a country with only 4.5 million people, New Zealand's definitely producing more good music than its population warrants. WATERCOLOURS, a solo project from blonde bombshell Chelsea Jade, is yet another Kiwi artist producing quality music. "Pazzida" is a light but purposeful number driven by a marching drum beat contrasted by Chelsea's floating voice and spacey synths. Having recently opened for Cat Power in a New Zealand show, Watercolours is receiving more and more exposure and although it's difficult to uncover a lot of their material, if "Pazzida" is any indication she surely won't just be an opening act for very long. We'll definitely keep you posted about Watercolours upcoming album, planned to be released in May.
