Brooklyn-based artist Wales (Sam Bennett) first caught the attention of the blogosphere a few months back with his shimmering debut single, Lose My Mind. Several hundred thousand SoundCloud plays later, he's now releasing "Falling", his latest musical bit. Produced by Gianluca Buccellati (Tei Shi, Yellerkin), "Falling" is a delicate, atmospheric piece of electronic that plays into Wales' musical strengths by relying on rippling synth textures and a slow groove to give the track just enough motion. Bennett's understated vocals are weaved expertly into the track's warm ambience, too, sometimes floating just above the surface of the production, and other times diving into the wide, serene textures as another instrument. All together, "Falling" is a promising release from this distinctly toned artist, and an effort of this quality again is absolutely sure to garner him the attention he deserves.
