If you're already familiar with Wafia, then it's probably because you fell in love with her wildly popular feature on Japanese Wallpaper's single, "Breathe In", or with one of her solo releases like "Alice". Each of the tracks are phenomenal in their own right, but this latest installment of hers here released today is both markedly different, and, in our opinion, simply jaw-dropping. We always knew Wafia had a good voice, but this new song of hers, "Let Me Love You", is truly on a level of its own, and the fact that she's able to dawn the pop star mantle with such ease should be a bit worrying for her contemporaries. We don't think she's looking to replace or even nudge over the likes of Ariana Grande or Katy Perry at any point in the future, mind you, but with her latest here, she's made a pretty airtight case for the fact that she probably could if she wanted to—and with such a strong command of her vocal chords, there's really no telling where she'll go from here. Structurally, "Let Me Love You" is itself quite similar to the original, but upon closer inspection, it's apparent that everything was completely revamped or modified on some level. Instead of singing over the original instrumental, she's opted instead to have Thrupence work his magic and craft something truly befitting of her talent. It's a coach-built song from top to bottom, and it just oozes quality; not one single detail was left untouched, and when all elements coalesce, the track almost feels as if it was Wafia's all along. It's essentially the sonic embodiment of Theseus' Paradox, and while we suppose technically it's still a cover, Wafia's rendition is unlike any we've heard in some time.
