San Diego-based VOLO has been churning out smartly styled, chilled-out electronic for a couple years now, and he possibly has his most refined work to date in "Shimmer". Heavy, spaced-out chords and delectable vocal cuts weave through the piece, and, alongside piercing melodies, a thoroughly engaging, emotive listen appears.
