Three weeks ago, we caught a glimpse of Los Angeles artist VOKES' sound with debut offering “Cruel Game”, and were attracted to his hard-to-classify (but extremely appealing) indie-funk sound. Now, he’s taking yet another giant leap with “Value”, his second track, and, if there’s one thing to note from the effort, it’s that he's really spreading his artistic wings. As the track gets going, it booms and becomes intriguing in more ways than one, and, really, there's not one (detectable) faltering moment on the track. We don't think there's reason to believe that there will be any on future material to come, either, and that's why we're excited as can be with all he has in store.
