"Cruel Game" is the first-ever track released by Los Angeles' VOKES, and, really, it's a smashing debut. It's got flavors of indie, alternative, and funk embedded within, and, from beginning to end, it progresses without any perceivable blip at all. The track is energy-packed and has plenty of spice to spare, and what quality singing, songwriting, and production we hear on it tell of an artist readying himself for big things.
