Guy-girl musical duos are inescapable these days, and newcomers Vlad vs Clover fit right into the category. Their music, however, is a little bit harder to label, and the group's debut release, "Lies", is a truly inventive bit of electronic as it blends guitars, drum machines, and hard-hitting brass with creamy vocals to create a track that demands repeat listening. "Lies" is a remarkable debut release for this duo—there's no doubt about it—and the strength of the effort alone should garner them a great deal of attention going forth. [via The Indie Curator]
