It's getting to a point where we're almost taking for granted how many talented new artists the internet is pumping out these days. To keep yourself in check, you've almost got to snap out out of the complacency you eventually get funneled into while listening to new music on a daily basis. Sometimes, though, we get a jolt or punch in the kidneys that wakes us back up, and today, that punch comes from the UK singer, Violet Skies, who enlightens us with her debut single, "How The Mighty". Combining the sophisticated elements of classical, orchestral, and wobbling electronics, producer Axel Kacoutie sets the tonality back into the 1500's whilst executing a modern twist as he further elevates the royal vocals of the 22-year-old Violet Skies. And though this is Violet Skies' first song to be released on Awk-Ward Records, you can no doubt expect more to be released in the coming year.
