If you're a fan of Vince Staples, you've probably already heard his new double-disc album, Summertime '06 , but if you've yet to hear it or you're not up on his music, our two highlights here will have you checking out the album in an instant. In full disclosure, we've never actually even covered the rapper until now, but with the quality of his raps and the production behind them here, we'll admit that we've been sleeping a little bit on the Long Beach rapper. From his new body of work, the Clams Casino-produced "Norf Norf" is probably the best track, but the equally great "Like It Is" (it's produced by DJ Dahi, No I.D., and Kidd) is absolutely worth listening to as well. Simply put, you can't go wrong with this album if you're a fan of hip-hop, so if you're at all interested in checking Vince out, do so with this work here.
