It's been quite an overwhelming past couple of weeks for rap as a whole, and, of course, a burgeoning artist like Vic Mensa is going to find a way to sneak his way into the mix, as his latest freestyle effort, "Heat It Up", adds to the delightful chaos. Not too uncharacteristically, Vic spits a couple verses in his ever-feisty manner with bold assertions fueling his coherent, pacy flow. The production behind him is one riddled with hard-hitting drums and swinging arpeggios, and they complement Vic's words greatly to help make yet another prominent statement for the emcee and culture overall.
