A few days ago, Vic Mensa announced a new mixtape of his, There's A Lot Going On, and, now, we've the first track from it in hard-hitting and emotionally and socially inspired "16 Shots" birthed, conceptually, from the death of 16-year-old LaQuan McDonald at the hands of the Chicago PD. What's interesting to note here is that, while fellow Chicagoan Chance The Rapper took things into a positive note with his project, we're perhaps going to see the other side of the coin with Vic here, though, of course, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Vic's one of the rare rappers able to sound emotional and aggressive without losing his musical touch at all, and, as we hear on the new single here, that trend doesn't seem like it's going to die down anytime soon.
