Everyone in the music world has high hopes for Vaults, and based on what we've heard from the group, it's easy to hear why. Three months ago, the band released "Premonitions", and now (according to Stereogum), we find "Lifespan" to be their first official single that's being released via Virgin/EMI. It's no wonder Vaults chose to lead off their major label deal with this huge effort, because "Lifespan" is exactly what we would call substantially majestic music. Elated by booming percussion, looping vocal samples, chimes, and elegant piano keys, "Lifespan" is glory in music personified. With those heavenly vocals of lead vocalist, Blythe Pepino, too, it's easy to expect big things from the act in the future. Surely, "Lifespan" is only their beginning.
